Countless hours, weeks and months you've spent researching your market. Understanding your customers. Sketching out those content strategies. Picking out the right tactics. All to figure out the best way to market your product or service.

It's a bit much, right? Here's the good news!

With Digital First AI, you gain access to business-specific AI strategies and Canvases designed for strategizing. Alongside 370+ Marketing Tactics, and tools like a Content Generator and Graphics Creator to bring your marketing plans to reality.

🧠 But first, we need to teach the AI about your business and train it. Let's get started!

How to train the AI

To train the AI, you need to either create a new funnel or edit an existing one.

🎛️ Think of funnels as the command center for your marketing strategies and campaigns in Digital First AI.

Creating a new funnel

After creating your funnel, you'll land right where you need to be–at the AI training screen:

To effectively train the AI, you've got two options:

  • 🗃️ Upload Training Data: This can be anything from .pdfs to custom files and webpages that reflect your business

  • ☑️ Complete a Business Statement: Simply answer a few questions about your business's nature and goals

While using either method can get you started, completing both gives the AI a clearer picture! And ensures you receive the most accurate recommendations.

Training data

Training the AI in Digital First AI means sharing the bits and pieces (files, links, and webpages) that tell your business's story.

💁‍♂️ Each piece of information you share is a building block in shaping how the AI understands and supports your marketing efforts.

You can add multiple assets for each type or none at all.

Types of files for Training Data

The assets you can upload:

🌐 Website links: Add URLs to pages like your homepage, which paints a broad picture of your business. Or, dive into specifics with landing and product pages. Whether planning a business-wide strategy or a targeted campaign, each link helps the AI understand your needs better.

For example, launching a line of sustainable kitchenware? Include links to your eco-friendly products and blog articles on sustainable living.

✏️ Write or paste a description: This is where you briefly describe what your business aims to achieve or detail a specific campaign you're working on.

Starting a unique coffee subscription service? Say what makes your brand or this particular campaign stand out, like emphasizing direct trade sourcing or unique flavor profiles.

📁 Upload files: Share documents like TXT, DOCX, PPTX, CSV, or PDF files. This could be anything from detailed sales decks that outline your marketing strategy to product briefs that describe what your business offers.

Say you're a tech startup; uploading a product brief for your latest app could be incredibly insightful for the AI.

🎙️ Add recordings: Upload audio or video files that showcase your business's voice, such as MPEG, MP4, MOV, or AVI. This could include anything from product tutorials to speeches at industry events.

Launching a fitness app? Share workout videos or early customer testimonials to highlight your app's features and user success stories.

▶️ Upload content from YouTube: Videos that showcase your product or service in action are gold. Running a campaign for a kitchen gadget? Link to your tutorials or user reviews on YouTube.

💾 Upload content from Dropbox: This allows you to share a range of materials stored in Dropbox, from educational materials to strategic documents.

Imagine you're running a campaign to boost awareness about mental health. Uploading PDFs of informational brochures or presentations from mental health workshops can help the AI align its strategy recommendations!

After you’ve fed the AI all the info, select "Save and Exit" to wrap up the process or "Generate" to save and generate the AI strategy right away:

Business statement

Another way fine-tune the AI's advice for your business is to fill out a business statement. You can do it in the "Statement" section of each funnel:

It involves answering a series of targeted questions. That helps the AI grasp the essence of your business and its marketing needs!

💁‍♂️ Are you up for getting tailor-made, recommended marketing tactics–ones that hit the mark for your business? They're based on the statement, so completing it is the way to go!

Questions include, among other things:

  • What are you marketing? (Product/Service/Ecommerce/Application)

  • Is your target audience a niche or mass market?

  • Who are you marketing to? (Local customers/State/Country/Global)

  • How does marketing drive your business? (Through sales or leads)

  • What's your level of marketing expertise? (Beginner/Specialist/Expert)

💡 Imagine you're marketing legal consultation services online. You cater to businesses nationally, aiming to generate leads with your marketing. You'd choose "Service", "Mass target", "Country,""Leads", and your marketing expertise from the drop-down. As well as filling in other blanks.

Once you've completed the statement, hit the "Finish" button towards the bottom of it:

  • 🎯 The sharper the information you feed the AI, the more tailored and effective the recommendations. That said, starting simple is okay; even basic info lets the AI begin offering tips.

  • 🌐 Uploading files, webpages, and details about your business turns the AI into your personal marketing expert.

  • 🌱 As your business evolves, updating the AI with new information keeps your marketing strategies fresh and relevant.
